They also provide Trigger Point Injections, including many other helpful medical services, which compliment medical massage therapy. These two interventions work well together for optimal results, pain relief, and healing. Medical Massage Therapy, also known as clinical massage, is simply a collection of massage techniques utilized during a series of massages that focus on improving medical conditions that have been diagnosed by a physician or a licensed medical healthcare practitioner/provider. All services are provided by a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist with extensive training, certifications, and experience.
We value our patients and focus on exceptional service and education. We offer a combination of Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, and Trigger Point Massage Therapy. This combination of effective techniques helps to improve posture, coordination, relieve discomfort related to nerve compression, tight muscles, trigger points as well as manage myofascial pain and musculoskeletal issues. Heat is also included in order to help relax tight muscles. For inflammation and swelling due to injury, after any type of surgery, or during the postpartum/postnatal period after birth, Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Vodder Technique) can be implemented to help reduce swelling. The Vodder Technique, which is the Gold Standard, is a light skin stretch technique where the therapist manually routes excess lymphatic fluid towards your lymphatic nodes within your Lymphatic System. It is not painful as it is actually very relaxing! It strengthens the immune system as well as improves lymphatic flow. To address scars and adhesions that develop, Scar Tissue massage will be implemented as well. Scar tissue massage improves flexibility, range of motion, assists with collagen production and alignment, as well as increases oxygen and blood flow to assist with healing. We also offer prenatal massage (after the first trimester), geriatric massage, as well as pediatric and teen massage (age 17 and under).

Both medical and spa massage therapists perform massages, but their purposes differ. Medical Massage Therapy can alleviate muscle tension, stimulate the release of endorphins, break down scar tissue / adhesions, and enhance circulation. It is beneficial for conditions such as osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, sports injuries, repetitive strain injuries, chronic pain, muscle spasms, tendonitis, sprains, strains, headaches, including migraines, as well as many other medical conditions. Medical Therapeutic Massage is an effective method for pain management and treatment, offering a powerful and safe therapeutic treatment to healing with enduring results.
Medical massage therapy adheres to meticulously planned medical protocols, producing long-lasting effects. This also helps to prevent and avoid the practitioner from exacerbating the client’s diagnosed conditions (s). It is conducted after a comprehensive assessment/evaluation by the medical massage therapist, with the aim of achieving specific outcomes. In order to treat a diagnosed medical condition based on your healthcare needs and yield measurable results, treatment is organized with a specific aim in mind. To improve your overall general function,
multiple sessions will be scheduled.
Spa massage, however, is centered on client satisfaction and overall well-being. The main objective is to offer a tranquil and relaxing experience, as opposed to targeting the specific medical issues that is treated with medical massage therapy.
